“See I am doing a new thing…”
In the fall of 1889, a “small” group of people doing their best to follow Jesus gathered in a home and committed to building a church. 135 years later, a “small” group gathered in a church and committed to building homes… Why? Thanks for asking.
What started as a conversation in 2021 about sustainability transformed into questions of stewardship, community development, and building up the Beloved Community here and now. We are doing our best to follow the leading of the Spirit with imagination and courage, and we believe, in this season, that looks like creating space(s) for people to live, work, play, and pray together. So Phase 1 of the "Dream Team's Vision," looks like 50 units of for-sale affordable housing in what is currently the church's "front yard."
