Room in the Inn is a local ministry we share in with Advent Lutheran, Harrisburg United Methodist, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Churchunder the umbrella of the Urban Ministry Center. By partnering together, we are able to provide emergency shelter, food, and hospitality during the winter months for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
CCT serves our neighbors impacted by incarceration and/deportation through the Women's Center (less than miles from NPC) and LifeWorks. While we are in a season of discernment following the sunsetting of Families Doing Time, our commitment to this work (see Matthew 25), and our partners at CCT remains unwavering.
Samaritan House is one of Charlotte's best-kept secrets, but we hope you'll help us change that. Samaritan House provides space and time for unhoused folks to recover from a stay in the hospital, or while undergoing treatment, in a supportive home which dramatically improves health outcomes. Give them a click for sure!
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance enables congregations and mission partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crises and catastrophic events. Recently, for us, that has included preparing flood buckets, building mobile shower units, and collecting other needed items for our neighbors in the mountains in the aftermath of Helene.
Niner United is a collaborative campus ministry at UNCC creating space for Presbyterians, Lutherans, Episcopalians, Methodists, as well as students of other/no faith tradition(s) to encounter welcome, love, hope, and Christ through their college years.
Our presbytery supports missions locally, nationally, and internationally; we build bridges between congregations in/around the city; we facilitate trainings, workshops, and other events; as well as support congregations and pastors in times of need.
